euroFOT: Is Big Brother watching you?

There was an article in the German newspaper "WELT" last Saturday (15 May 2010) about euroFOT and the current test. Ford got a call from a participant who wanted to cancel his participation after he has read that article. His concern was that the drivers were controlled regarding their behaviour while driving (camera) and as well as their location/route (GPS data from logger). The wording of the article was "Big Brother is watching you". Ford reassured the driver by explaining to him that euroFOT was not interested in the driver's privacy at all and gave him some background information in order to make him understand why that information and that data were collected. Drivers should not worry!
